2026 Rulebook Summary

A plain language tour of the 2026 Clash of Clans World Championship rules. Eligibility, format, prizes, and the code of conduct. This is a community summary; the official PDF is the source of truth.

§ 3 · Eligibility

Who can play

  • Players must be 16+ (18+ for residents of China). Players aged 16 or 17, or 16 to 18 in South Korea, need parental consent.
  • Accounts must be at the highest available Town Hall level and on the latest game version.
  • One account per player. Account sharing is forbidden. The account must be in good standing on Supercell's Terms of Service.
  • Players who compete in the Tournament can't enter the Town Hall Cup at TH 9, 12, or 15 at the same time.
  • After qualifying for a Monthly Final, each player must complete a verification form (photo ID required) within 24 hours.

§ 2 · Teams

Roster size & registration

  • Teams are Clans of 5 or 6 players. Monthly Qualifiers allow 5 or 6. Monthly Finals, LCQ, and World Finals require exactly 5.
  • All wars are 5v5 Friendly Wars in Esports Mode. Defensive advantages, offensive disadvantages, and equipment level caps.
  • Each player gets one (1) attack per war.
  • Roster substitutions are allowed within strict limits, and are required to keep points or a Golden Ticket.

§ 4 to 5 · Format

Stages of the season

  1. 1

    Stage 1 · Ladder

    5 day ladder inside the game. Teams gain or lose Elo. Top 128 advance to the Monthly Qualifier.

  2. 2

    Stage 2 · Monthly Qualifier

    128 team double elimination over 2 days through the Tournament Hub. 8 teams advance.

  3. 3

    Stage 3 · Monthly Final

    8 team double elimination. Winner takes a Golden Ticket to the World Finals.

  4. 4

    Chinese Regional Qualifier

    Separate qualification path for Chinese teams. The Regional Champion earns one Golden Ticket, the 5th of the 8 WCF slots.

  5. 5

    Last Chance Qualifier

    8 team double elimination · 10 to 11 October 2026. Top 3 earn Golden Tickets (slots 6, 7, 8).

  6. 6

    World Championship Finals

    All 8 Golden Ticket teams compete for the championship: 4 Monthly Final winners + 1 Chinese Regional Champion + 3 LCQ qualifiers. Dates TBA.

Each monthly season from June to September repeats Stage 1 → 2 → 3. After September, the Chinese Regional Qualifier runs in parallel, then the LCQ, then the World Championship Finals. Eight Golden Tickets total: 4 monthly + 1 China + 3 LCQ.

§ 4.2 · Match format

How a war is decided

  • Esports Mode enabled · 5 minute Preparation Period · 30 min battle (Ladder) or 45 min battle (Qualifiers, Finals, LCQ, WCF).
  • Winner is determined by: 1) star total, 2) destruction percentage, 3) fastest average attack duration.
  • Tied wars trigger a 1v1 Best of 1 Friendly Challenge on the same base. Repeat until decided.
  • Each player must follow the strict Attack Order schedule during a war.
  • Only the participating 5 or 6 players (plus admins and spectators) may be in the Clan during a tournament war.

Prizes are distributed NET 90 days after the Organizer receives payment details. Players have 60 days to claim their prize money.

§ 10 · Code of Conduct

What gets you DQ'd

  • Collusion (intentionally losing, prize splits, soft play).
  • Cheating: DDoS attacks, third party tools, scripted attacks, private servers.
  • Modifying the game client (hacking) or exploiting bugs.
  • Intentional disconnection for an advantage.
  • Ringing (playing under another player's account).
  • Harassment, sexual harassment, or discriminatory conduct.
  • Publicly making statements that misrepresent Supercell or harm the tournament's interests.
  • During wars: live competitive integrity webcam required, no secondary devices, no external communication outside the admin call.
